Since our beginnings in 2010, it’s been an absolute rollercoaster journey for Wholesale LED Lights. Here are some of our highlights from over the years for you to enjoy…
- 2010 - Amit and Prashant Soni launch and establish Wholesale LED Lights with an initial investment of just £2,000! Wholesale LED Lights is the trading name of Mirrorstone Lighting Ltd.
- 2012 - Having started with LED Bulbs & Spotlights, the brothers take a major step forward and expand the range to include revolutionary LED Strip Lights - a move that would shape the company for years to come.
- 2015 - Experiencing rapid growth, WLED quickly outgrow their offices at Vaughan Way in the heart of Leicester City Centre, and move down the road to Devonshire Road, giving them a larger office space for more staff, and a larger warehouse for keeping larger stock quantities.
- 2016 - Much to our surprise, our hard work has been turning heads, and WLED wins the Family Business of the Year award and the British Indian Business Awards in 2016!
- 2017 - Just two years after moving, we quickly outgrow our warehouse, and move our stock over to a new site on Lewisher Road. The office staff meanwhile stay put on Devonshire Road.
- 2017 - Gaining further recognition for our impact in the lighting industry, where WLED makes it to the finals of the Company of the Year award, and our very own Amit Soni wins Entrepreneur of the Year at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards! Go Amit!
- 2018 - Not content with the previous years success, WLED makes it to the finals of SME Business of the Year award at the Leicester Mercury Business Awards.
- 2018 - Later that year we upgraded and relaunched our website to give our customers the best possible shopping experience possible.
- 2018 - Our final move in a busy couple of years was to launch our sister website, Surya Heating, where we sell energy efficient infrared heating panels, furthering our commitment to helping as many people as possible save thousands on their energy bills through efficient lighting and now heating.
- 2020 - Whilst all our staff are working from home during the pandemic, we use the opportunity to relocate to a larger site on Scudamore Road with minimal disruption.
- 2021 - After a tumultuous 18 months, normality is resumed and the staff are back at the office, working together as a team again.
- 2023 - Never content on staying still, we revamp our LED Strip Lights range and launch the next evolution in modern lighting: Aon LED Strip Lights, which utilise COB technology, eliminating the dotted look typically associated with LED tape - our strips now have one continuous beam of light!
- 2024 - Having put months of work in, we’re now ready to relaunch our website again and provide a totally fresh and unique way for our customers to browse and buy their favourite lights!
