3 Ways LEDs Can Boost Productivity

Whether you’re outfitting a classroom, an office or even if you’re looking to enhance your work from home setup, LEDs are the way to go! Here’s why LED lighting is the best option on the market for a productivity boost.
There are several reasons why LEDs can help you focus, and we’ve picked a few out to highlight!
LEDs Are Brighter
LEDs give significantly more light than older methods of lighting. They’re also capable of doing this for very little power, resulting in high lumen counts that don’t actually cost a fortune to run. This ensures you can enjoy bright lighting without stress.
As an added bonus, well-lit rooms have been shown to lead to numerous benefits, including improved academic performance for students, and better workplace performance for others.
LEDs Mimic Daylight
Natural daylight is always the best option for boosting your mood, but there are plenty of situations where this isn’t possible or practical. Whether it’s because of the pre-existing layout of your space, or simply during the middle of winter where the nights close in fast, there may be times where you’re going without daylight, making you feel lethargic.
If productivity and well-being are concerns, then you should always try to incorporate natural lighting into your space first. After that, there are LEDs. These lights are capable of mimicking a wide variety of colour temperatures, letting you get the ambience you need.
If you’re looking for a light that produces daylight equivalent lighting, check the colour temperature! If it says 4000k is a good benchmark, any higher and your light will start looking bluer (and thus cooler). Any lower and it will have a more yellowish tinge.
LEDs Give You more Control
Neither of these benefits would be of much use without customisation. One consistent fact is that the more control you have over your workspace, the happier you are and the harder you work. Being able to adjust your lighting on the fly is incredibly handy.
Luckily, LEDs are very customisable. Because they use LED chips instead of traditional bulbs, it’s a lot easier to program them to be adjustable, with variable colour temperatures
Do note that dimmable LEDs are a little different to dimmable halogen or incandescent bulbs, because of their incredibly low wattage requirements. That means that if you’re using traditional dimmer switches, you may need to swap them out to trailing edge dimmer switches, just to ensure your lights work as intended.
The Tetralight 36W Square Four Cycle 2700 Lumens LED Panel Light With Remote Control is our most customisable light out the box, as each model comes with a remote control allowing for quick and easy control.
