What this means for you is that it is safe to use outside, in the garden for example, though we would still advise keeping it under some kind of shelter.
The chrome finish ensures it fits seamlessly into any contemporary decor, compounded by the slender 115mm diameter.
It wires directly to your 240V mains supply, and provides illumination via a single E27 LED bulb – so it’s painstakingly simple to use too.
When you purchase your Grated Outdoor LED Bollard Light, you can choose to have a bulb included in the box with it if you wish.
Should you choose to have one bundled, there are a couple of choices to make with what kind bulb you want.
The first option is whether you want a dimmable bulb or not – this allows you to alter the brightness of your light, giving you some freedom with the kind of effect you’re looking for.
The other option is what colour temperature you want. You can pick from warm white (3000K), or cool white (6000K). Colour temperature is simply a measure in Kelvins of the perceived warmth of an emitted light.
Warm white is really good to use in areas like the living room and bedroom because of the welcoming and relaxing environment it helps create. In terms of its shade, it closely resembles the light emitted from a conventional halogen.
Cool white on the other hand is better suited to places like the kitchen or office, as its brighter, more penetrative light helps you to concentrate, and is far better for dedicated task lighting.
You are of course welcome to purchase your own bulbs for the bollard – we have a wide selection of E27 base LED bulbs to choose from if you’re after something a little more particular.
