This driver is IP66 rated, and specifically designed for outdoor use. You can also safely use this driver in your bathroom! With that said, it is not suited for underwater submersion.

Matching Your Driver To Your Lights

Getting the right driver for your strip light setup is key. There are lots of different variables to account for, and since each strip of lighting has varying wattages and brightness’- this means there is no standard length that can be ran from this driver.

While we recommending not exceeding a 10% buffer from the max load, this driver can run any wattage below that point easily. If you’re worried about the high wattage generating heat, this driver is cooled by free air convection!

In addition, this driver features a number of extra safety features, giving you more peace of mind. With short circuiting, overloading and over temperature protections, you won’t accidentally overload or break your driver.

This driver is available in 12v and 24v variants, so it’s compatible with all of our strip tapes! The dimming capability is compatible with leading edge dimmers, so you won’t need to shop around for a trailing edge dimmer if you already own the former.
