The 240V AC input ensures it can connect directly to your mains. It then converts this to either 12V or 24V DC depending on your choice and requirements.

The powerful X-Power range of LED drivers delivers some excellent transformation, with the ultimate efficiency. The fan has been upgraded, for quieter running and increased lifespans. The size has also been reduced, leaving a sleeker, quieter, cooler driver to supply your lower-voltage lighting.

Making The Most of Your Driver

Although you can use your driver to power any LED light that requires a transformer, strip lights really benefit from this product.

You can use this driver with any of our LED tape, though if you do want to use RGB colour strips with it, you will need to connect it through a controller. All other types of LED tape can connect directly to this 72W driver.

A great option for keeping it simple would be our 7.2W Single Colour LED Strip Light. It offers good overall performance with 510 lumens of brightness coming at just 7.2W/m of energy consumption.

A range of colours are available, from warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K), to red, green and blue.

It can be cut to custom lengths at 10cm intervals. It is important to note though that we cannot accept returns on custom lengths of strip light under any circumstances, so please ensure you measurements are correct before ordering your items.

Bearing in mind the maximum load of 72W on our featured driver, you can run lengths of up to 9m of this single colour tape with this transformer.

If you already know what kind of lights you need to power, then you may need a different driver depending on the wattage of the lights.

If 72W is either too excessive or not enough, we have alternatives for you to consider. For simple bulbs or spotlights, you may want to look at either our 6W LED Driver or our 24W Driver.

If you’re running longer lengths of strip light for example though, you may need something with a much higher capacity.

For this, you should consider our 150W Driver. You could run up to 18m of the single colour strip light we mentioned earlier with this transformer, giving you far greater freedom as far as your lengths are concerned.
