Perhaps the standard for LED light bulbs, the amazing Mirrorstone LED B22 Globe OMNIPlus 6W (60W) Non-Dimmable doesn’t look like much at all. A typical light bulb shape, with just an ordinary B22 bayonet fitting, it doesn’t particularly scream revolutionary. But that’s the beauty of it. Colour Temperature

If you’re still stuck with the incandescent technology, you may not know what colour temperature is. With an LED, they can come in different white lights, to create stunning effects. For example, this bulb comes in a warm 3000k light, and a cool 6000k light. These can be used separately for different moods, or together to create an alternative ambience.

The warmer white is often used in a bedroom or living room setting in order to create an intimate ambience. The cooler white often looks better in a bathroom or office setting, as it is more clinical, and helps you to focus.

They can also be combined – in a kitchen, you could try a warm white main light to set the mood, along with cooler white under-cabinet lights to better illuminate your cooking.
