The perfect light fitting for any home with a suspended ceiling, these IP65 Fire-Rated LED Downlights from Mirrorstone combine style, safety and savings all in one neat package.
Brilliantly designed, they’re robust and boast a sturdy bezel and twin clips to secure them into place in your ceiling.
Fire-Rated For Safety
All of these stunning downlights are fire-rated, being manufactured using an intumescent material that expands when exposed to heat. This makes the cutting hole in your ceiling air-tight in the event of a fire, which prevents it spreading between the floors of your building.
Thus, you’ll have protection lasting for up to 90 minutes, so you should have more than enough time to evacuate the building and alert the emergency services. While the fire-rating feature does come with a slightly higher cost than that of our standard Integrated LED downlights, we believe it’s a small price to pay for the added peace-of-mind.
Dimmable And Longer Lasting
They’re also dimmable when used with a trailing edge dimmer switch so, if the dimmers you have in your home right now are of the old style leading edge variety, now would be a great time to consider replacing them. Take a look at our wide range of LED-friendly Rotary or Rocker Switches from innovative switch and socket designer, Varilight.
These downlights all feature integrated LED bulbs with a life-expectancy of 50,000 hours. This will equate to 17.12 years, even if they’re switched on for 8 hours a day, so they’ll outlast halogen lights up to 20 times over!
Not only that, these downlights will reduce your energy costs too. They consume a very tiny amount of electricity compared to halogen lights, saving you up to 80% on your lighting-related energy bills.
You’ll also save 10 – 20% on the prices of all these products when you apply our latest promo code to the contents of your shopping cart.
If your order for any of these great items amounts to £40.00 or more, you will pay nothing at all for shipping.
Colour Temperature Options
All of these downlights are available in a choice of two colour temperatures, so you’ll need to let us know whether you’d prefer warm (3000K) or cool (6000K) white when you place your order.
The warm white temperature will give any room a relaxed, mellow ambience that people enjoyed with their old halogen lights in their living areas, whereas the cool white is crisper and more penetrative, helping to create an effective working environment in kitchens and office spaces.
If you haven’t yet completely switched over to LED lighting and are still unsure about the various uses for each of the colour temperatures, take a look at this short, explanatory video:
