Building Your High End Setup
As mentioned before, this cable is especially for use with a certain set of products.
One of those is our 180W PX24500 DMX Decoder. You’ll need one of these for every 25m of 7.2W tape, and for every 12.5m of 14.4W tape. With one end of your CAT5 cable connected to the decoder, the other end will connect to one of 2 products.
The first is the 3-in-1 RGB 3 Channel DMX Wall Plate Controller. This controller helps extract the maximum performance out of your RGB colour changing LED tape, with various functions to control modes, colour, brightness and fade.
It even has a built in microphone so it can listen to your music, and synchronise the lights to match the rhythm accordingly!
The other option is the 3-in-1 RGBW 4 Channel DMX Wall Plate Controller. This works in the same way as the 3 channel, but is compatible with RGBW LED tape.
The great thing about the DMX controllers is that there is no limit to how much strip light you can run from a single controller, as they use a DMX signal. They also come with their own power supplies too, saving you from buying a separate driver.
