Download the spec sheet for the Spectric Single Colour LED Strip Lights (30 x 5050 SMD, 7.2W, 510 Lumens) here.
Usable in all aspects from under cabinet lighting, under plinth and general backlighting, you will be able to add brilliant task and effect lighting to any room with the Mirrorstone 7.2w/m Single Colour LED Strip Light.
With a self-adhesive 3M backing, you can stick the strips directly onto your surface of choice. Due to the wide range of surfaces that the LED Strip Lights are stuck to, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the adhesive on all surfaces. Also, please note that the IP67 LED Tape does not come with the 3M Adhesive. As well as being adhesive, these strips can also be cut down to the nearest 100mm so you can achieve precise lengths suitable for your needs.
Please remember too that all LED Tape orders come with a 5cm tail as standard. If you require longer lengths, this will come at an additional charge, and you will need to specify these in your order.
Did you know that all of our LED Tape is dimmable? Simply use alongside a dimmable driver to alter the brightness!
You can also benefit from our range of discount codes that are ran on our website and make savings of up to 20% on your order.
Please note that all IP67 and IP68 tape comes in lengths of up to 5m max, and will not fit in any of our aluminium profiles.
IP65 tape comes in maximum lengths of up to 25m, and will be soldered tape to tape every 5m for any lengths over 5m. Although 25m lengths are available in this way, there is no guarantee that it can be ran continuously due to power drop. Please get in touch with us if you require further information about this.
IP20 tape may or may not come soldered tape to tape, as this depends on how it arrives to us from our suppliers.Find further information on Strip Lights on our FAQs page.
The brand new Spectric line of LED strip lights will massively improve your lighting experience. These strip lights bring more vivid lighting, with a greater lumens to energy expenditure ratio than ever before. The life expectancy has been increased, with a whopping 50,000 hours of usage delivering a versatile light every single time.
Our LED strip lights come in a variety of IP ratings (waterproofing) to allow them to be fit in a wide range of areas.
The available IP ratings and the general guidelines for where they should be used are detailed below:
IP Rating | Usage |
IP20 | IP20 rated tape comes without any silicone covering on it and has no protection from any form of water. IP20s main usage is in internal lighting such as under plinth and under cabinet lighting. |
IP65 | IP65 rated LED Strip Lights come with a silicone cover on the strip to protect it from splashes and jets of water. The main usage of IP65 is within bathrooms, it can also be used in the kitchen for protection against steam from cooking. |
IP67 | LED Strip Lights that are IP67 rated come with a silicone surround to protect the strip from water of up 1 metre. Generally IP67, is used externally in water features and decorative garden lighting. |
IP68/IP68 Nano | IP68 is where the LED Strip are completely encased in silicone for full waterproofing up to 10 metres. IP68 Nano posses all the waterproofing qualities of standard IP68 but with the physical appearance of IP20. General usage is for ponds, pools etc. |
All LED Tape is charged by the metre, and when ordering please round up to the nearest metre when filling the quantity box.
Not as imperative as IP ratings but a big factor to consider when installing LED strips is the colour which the light emits. Our LED strip lights are available in a range of colours such as red, green and blue but the main two colours of LED Strip is Warm White (3000K) and Cool White (6000K).
If you are looking to install your strip lights in a living area such as a living room or dining room then Warm White is a good option to go for due to its similarities to traditional incandescent lights in terms of colour. Other areas where it is useful to be used is bedrooms, hallways and rooms that have a more traditionally styled decor to them.
Alternative to Warm White, the second most popular colour temperature is Cool White. Unlike the warmer colour you get on a traditional light, Cool White is a crisp white light. Cool White finds its use more in rooms where you need a clearer light such as bathrooms or a kitchen. Another use for Cool white is for it to be used in rooms with a more modern design to them.
We offer a bespoke cutting service here at Wholesale LED Lights and are the only LED retailer in the UK to do so. So if need your LED strip Lights cut down to a specific size for installation then we can get them all prepared and ready for installation. We can also solder on custom lengths of cable to the strips to give you flexibility on install.
This service is only available to our customers and the strip lights have been purchased at Wholesale LED Lights.
Although this service is offered, you don't have to use it. If you'd rather have the strip lights provided in one length to cut down yourself then we can also provide lengths by the metre so you can cut them on site.
Like our 4.8w/m single colour LED strip, you can run up to 12m of 7.2w/m LED strip light in one length or 10m in one, uninterrupted length.
All LED Tape is priced per metre. If you purchase any amount of LED strip lights then we will send it out as one full, uninterrupted length e.g. 1 x 3m rather than 3 x 1m.
As they are low voltage, you will need a 12v power supply for them to function. There is wide range of power supplies available for our strips ranging from waterproof LED drivers to 1-10v LED drivers.
Our ranges of power supplies all come in varying power outputs to accommodate for all lengths of strip lights. Below is a list of the power that certain lengths of 7.2w/m single colour LED strips will be using:
■ 1 Metre - 7.2 Watts;
■ 3 Metres - 21.6 Watts;
■ 5 Metres - 36 Watts;
■ 10 Metres - 72 Watts;
■ 20 Metres - 144 Watts;
■ 30 Metres - 216 Watts.
When purchasing such products we advise that you leave around 10% on your power supply for them to run at their most efficient, manage their heat better and maximise their lifespan.
Our LED tapes have a life expectancy of up to 50,000 hours which roughly makes their lifespan just over a decade. This lifespan can also be extended or reduced depending on a variety of conditions on where they are installed.
Favourable Conditions | Unfavourable Conditions |
Cool air temperature around the LED strip lights. | Warm air around the strip and in the room. |
Mounted on a surface that dissipates the heat efficiently. | Mounted onto a surface that struggles to dissipate heat efficiently (e.g. wood). |
Using IP rating only where necessary. | Excessive use of IP ratings where unnecessary. |
If you can mount the strips with all of these favourable conditions then you can reach up to 50% extra on your lifespan, making it up to 75,000 hours!
To aid you with this, we sell aluminium profiles that dissipate heat a lot more efficiently than most surfaces, extending the lifespan. These profiles can also give a more complete look to your LED strips as they are available with the option of a clear or frosted diffuser.
Please note that IP65 LED strip lights that have been fitted internally without aluminium profiles are not covered by the 2 year warranty. Any replacements needed will be charged at 50% of the retail price when bought with aluminium profiles charged at full price.
With all of our strip lights available in 12 and 24 volts this enables them to be dimmable. You can dim LED Strip Lights in one of two ways, mains voltage or low voltage.
Both of the dimming techniques are as they sound and require the dimmer to be installed before or after the driver. If you choose for a mains dimming system then you will need a compatible LED dimmer switch along with a compatible dimmable LED driver. This will allow you to dim your LEDs from a wall mounted dimmer switch. These dimmers can also be remote controlled if you would also like the option of remote dimming the strips.
Alternative to mains dimming, you can also dim from a low voltage. For low voltage dimming, you will require a single colour LED dimmer and a standard, non-dimmable LED driver. This way allows for you to dim directly from a remote, but it doesn't have any way of wall mounting a dimmer switch.
Our full range of Mirrorstone products come with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty as standard. However, all of our LED spotlights, LED light bulbs and LED tapes come with the option of extending this warranty out to a 5 year warranty. This can only be extended within the first 90 days of order.
