There’s a choice of 2 colour temperatures available – warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K).
The difference is simple – it is just the perceived warmth of the light given off.
Warm white, as its name suggests, helps create a relaxing atmosphere. It closely replicates the shade given off by conventional incandescent bulbs, and is well suited to places like the living room or bedroom.
Cool white is much brighter than warm, and is more of a penetrative light. This makes it better for places where you need to concentrate such as the kitchen or office.
If you need it, IP65 protection is available to add to the strip lights. This guards against light jets of water and enables you to use them in the bathroom, or even outside.
A Single Colour Dimmer available separately enables dimmable light on the strips, helping to add an extra dimension to how you use your LEDs.
The 10mm width lends itself nicely to our range of profiles we have for sale. Our recommendation would be to purchase our Recessed Aluminium Profile.
Not only would it improve the aesthetics of your LED strip lights providing it with a neat housing, but it would also improve the lifespan by up to 50%. This is because the aluminium construction helps disperse any heat generated by the LEDs, reducing wear and tear.
Although this kit comes packed with 4m of our single colour strip lights, you don’t have to use all 4m. Part of the convenience is that you can cut down the tape at 10cm intervals.
You should be aware that we cannot accept any returns on LED tape that has been cut to lengths less than the 4m provided.
