Inside is a steel lamp holder that holds the E27 bulb into place. For the outdoors, we recommend opting for a warm white (3000K) bulb as it will create a relaxing and welcoming environment.

As it measures 160mm in width and 330mm in height, it will require a fair amount of wall space, but will look great illuminating your porch. To keep the light protected, the fitting has been manufactured to last with an IP44 rating.

Colour temperature itself is measured on the Kelvin scale which essentially tells you how cool, or warm a white light source is.

Cool white (6000K) light is more of a true white light with blue undertones. This appears icy and incredibly stark which is why it aids in keeping you awake. For the outdoors though, cool white isn’t usually the best option, particularly if you have greenery surrounding your home. This is due to the fact that the blueish tone can cause plants and trees to appear sickly.

Then, there is warm white (3000K) light. This is a much softer light that has a yellow tone. It generally forms an inviting atmosphere and will cause your garden to appear more natural.
