Designed to work with our RGB colour changing LED strip lights, this Mirrorstone product comes in 2 parts – a receiver and an infrared magic lightning remote control.
The receiver is a small box – measuring just 23 x 62 x 35mm – that slots in between the strip light and driver.
Once this is fitted, the 24 key remote gives you control over 16 different colours, and 4 different effects – flash, strobe, fade and smooth.
It runs on a 3V lithium cell battery, and requires a direct line of sight to the receiver in order to work at distances up to 10m.

The 120o beam angle makes it great if you just want to use it for general illumination, though you could then lower the brightness using the 24 key remote and use it for mood lighting instead.
It can be cut at 5cm intervals to custom lengths for you, though you should know that we cannot accept returns on any custom strip light lengths other than 5m under any circumstances.
If you’re looking for a bit more functionality from your controller, you may want to consider our RF Music RGB Remote Controller.
For a start, it uses radio frequency instead of infrared. This allows you to use the remote from a different room as it doesn’t require a direct line of sight. This adds some flexibility to how you use it.
The main difference though is that it has a built in microphone that can listen to the music you’re playing – and synchronise the RGB tape accordingly!
For a more accurate synchronisation, it also has an audio jack input, so that it can directly read the music you play.
