Take It Outside
One really handy feature this LED driver comes with is IP67 rating. If you’re wondering exactly what this means, then you’ve come to the right place.
IP ratings are a measure of how well any given device protects against objects and water, with the 2 numbered digits corresponding to each threat.
The first digit measures how well it safeguards against foreign bodies – so the 6 here means it is completely dust proof.
The second digit does the same but for moisture – so the 7 means it is submergible at depths of up to 1m for up to 30 minutes.
This is quite a high level of protection, making it more than safe to use outdoors where there might be a lot of water from heavy rain.
The Other Options
A 40W capacity might not be right for you – it might be too much or it might not be enough. Don’t worry if this is the case, as we have alternatives for you.
The 25W 1-10V Constant Voltage LED Driver is largely the same as our 40W but with less capacity, making it better suited for shorter LED tape lengths for example.
On the other end of the scale, we’ve also got a 100W 1-10V Constant Voltage LED Driver. Again, this is the same in terms of specs but has a substantially larger maximum load of 100W.
