LED strip lights will enable you to revitalise the look of your home and garden, delivering dazzling colours, individuality and panache wherever you decide to install them.

They’re both fantastic to look at and incredibly energy-efficient. When you purchase them to replace your existing light sources, you’ll begin to see just what can be achieved.

LED strips are available in varieties almost as numerous as the range of effects they can produce.

A Huge Variety To Choose From

There are single colour 12V and 24V, dual colour, colour-changing RGB 12V and 24V, side emitting and LED pixel tape, so there’ll be a type to suit all your lighting requirements, from the simple to the spectacular.

All of the above strip lights are available in a wide variety of colours, and many are colour changing, incorporating all the primary colours and also the cool white (6000K) and warm white (3000K) colour temperatures that are the signature feature of LED lights in general.

They also come in a variety of Ingress Protection Ratings, so from IP20 to the IP68 Nano, you’ll find the level of protection that’s perfect for your choice of location.

For indoor installations, as feature lighting in your living room or bedroom, you’ll require the least protection, so the IP20 will suffice, however, in wetter areas like the bathroom and garden a higher, more waterproof rating will be needed.

Whichever colour or type of LED strip light you choose, they’ll enhance the ambience of your space and create a lighting mood that’s conducive to your space.

For instance, you may wish to create an ice-bright environment on your patio area, so the Single Colour (60 x 5050 SMD) in either blue or cool white would be the ideal solution.

For a fabulous display of colour-changing lighting, there’s the magnificent RGBW (60 x 5050 SMD), the many functions of which can be controlled by the RGBW LED Strip Light Remote.

Simple To Install

For absolute simplicity and ease of installation, there are a great many LED strip light kits available, all incorporating a specific length of strip light and a compatible Plug & Play Transformer/ Adaptor. All of the aforementioned varieties are included, and they’re available in 1 to 5-metre lengths, so all installation sizes are catered for.

For the ultimate in versatility you can customise their lengths, using nothing more complex than a pair of household scissors. Markers are provided at set intervals along the tape’s length and, when they’re cut, the ends can be adjoined using compatible connectors.

From the 3528 and 5050 Single Colour and Corner connectors, to the Flexi 2-Core and ‘T’ connectors, especially designed to join up to 3 lengths of LED strip light, you’ll need to know whether it’s 3528 or 5050-sized, and find a connector that’s perfect for the job.

To achieve a professional-looking installation that’s securely fixed in place, you’ll require an LED Profile. There are a huge number from which to choose, and they also correspond with the strip light’s specific size.

Made of sturdy aluminium, they’re designed not only to maximise the strip light’s wide 120° beam angle, creating a solid base from which the optimum light dispersal can be achieved. LED profiles will also effectively dissipate any heat the strip produces, ensuring it achieves its expected life-span.

Incredible Longevity

At 50,000 hours, based on 8 hours of use per day, strip lights will still be going strong in almost 20 years’ time, more than twice the life-expectancy of halogens and 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs!

Due to their extended life-span and ultra-low power consumption, they’ll save you money in the mid and long-terms.

LED strip lights, such as the 24v Single Colour 60 x 5050 SMD for example, require just 14.4 Watts of electricity to produce 1020 Lumens of brightness, the equivalent of an 80 Watt traditional bulb.

You’ll discover so many advantages and benefits when you choose LED strips, and you’ll definitely want to install them all around your home!
