EvoLED 18W Fitted LED Downlight 1400 Lumens, Frosted

All-in-one solutions are always best, especially when they’re so much better than the competition.

That’s what the Mirrorstone 18W Fitted LED Frosted Downlight is. It includes everything you need – bulbs and a driver, and it’s massively more efficient than an equivalent halogen light.

It fits just the same way as any other conventional light, using your existing wiring with 240V main voltage. It just needs a 200mm cutting hole for use, and once fitted it will keep going for up to 50,000 hours.

Our fitted downlight uses just 18W, and provides a huge 1400 lumens of light through its aluminium finish and frosted diffuser – yet an equivalent halogen would use 140W to shine with the same brightness.

Check out the revolutionary new EvoLED range, with their gorgeous frosted appearance. A huge upgrade, these deliver even more bang for your buck, with a higher energy-efficiency than ever before. Thanks to the new heat sink design, you’ll be getting much longer lifespans for your lights, with heat much more effectively funnelled away from the LED.

The 120^o beam angle makes it perfect for general illumination. Even more so when you also consider the IP44 rating too.

This basically means that it is impenetrable by foreign bodies larger than 1mm, and it can withstand splashes of water from any direction.

This gives you the chance to use it in areas where it might be exposed to water, such as the kitchen, bathroom, or even restaurant kitchens if you’re looking for a commercial application.

When you do buy your fitted downlight, you’ll have a couple of choices to make too.

The first is what colour temperature you would like – with either warm white (3000K) or cool white (6000K) on offer. It’s measured in Kelvins, and is simply the perceived warmth of the light given off.

Warm white creates a cosy feeling, perfect for places like the living room or bedroom, whereas cool white is a lot brighter and is better for places like the office or kitchen.

The second option you’ll have is for dimmable bulbs, though please do bear in mind that if you want dimmable light, you’ll need a trailing edge dimmer. Leading edge dimmers that you would find in most houses could damage LEDs, and aren’t guaranteed to work.
