The Coastal Black Outdoor LED Wall Lantern With PIR Motion Sensor is a fantastic blend of elegance and practicality that’s perfect for vintage spaces. It comes equipped with PIR motion sensor with a detection range of up to 8M as well as a detection angle of 120° for wide coverage.
In addition to being IP44 rated, this lantern is constructed from anti corrosion polycarbonate, meaning it can remain true to its name and be used in high-saline coastal regions.
This fitting can be used with E27 bulbs. You can use whatever bulbs you may have lying around, or you can get us to send one as part of your order. Just select a colour temperature option from the drop-down menu and we’ll sort it.
At a glance, LED bulbs tend to be a little more expensive compared to older filament bulbs, and even CFLs in some instances. However, there are several key reasons that means an LED will offer the absolute best value for money of any light on the market, saving you more in the long term even if the initial cost of entry is a little higher.
Firstly, LEDs simply use less power compared to other bulbs. A 6W LED is easily as bright as a 60W halogen bulb. That helps you get on top of energy bills even as the cost of electricity increases.
Secondly, LEDs last for an exceptionally long time. The exact length of time depends on the manufacturer and how long you use your bulb for each day, but most are rated for between 15,000 to 50,000 hours. The latter bulbs could last for more than a decade in the right conditions.
Compare this to an incandescent bulb, which will typically only last for 750 hours. Even the slightly more advanced halogens will only reach 2000 hours at most, and a CFL will typically peak at 8000 hours. That means even the least durable LED will last far longer, meaning you’ll need to buy less of them.
