Perhaps the standard for LED light bulbs, the amazing B22 6W OMNI-LED Clear Globe doesn’t look like much at all. A typical light bulb shape, with just an ordinary B22 bayonet fitting, it doesn’t particularly scream revolutionary. But that’s the beauty of it. Disguised as the traditional incandescent technology, this LED packs some serious improvements under the hood.

It is a perfect replacement for your 60W incandescent bulbs for a long list of reasons - here’s just a few.

First off, you don’t have to do anything special to switch. Buy the bulb, and fit it. It has a standard B22 fitting, and requires a typical 220-240v mains input, so it’s easy to retrofit into your existing system.

Introducing OMNIPlus

With our OMNIPlus range of LED bulbs, you’ll be getting a more efficient, brighter bulb that outperforms our previous range by far. An improved aluminium heat sink means an even greater lifespan, so your lighting will shine for longer. Join the next generation of eco-friendly saving and upgrade today.

Energy-Saver

Secondly, it’s a massive energy saver. It uses just 10% of the energy that a 60W equivalent halogen does, whilst delivering the same powerful 650 lumens light output. This means that you will be able to save around 90% on your lighting bills just by switching to these LEDs. Just think – ten of these LEDs will use the same energy that just one of the out-dated incandescents will, making it a no-brainer to make the swap.

Long-Lasting

This LED has a lifespan of 30,000 hours, which, when used for eight hours a day, equates to around ten years! Compare this to an incandescent, which has a lifespan of just 1,200 hours, or a few months. This is over 20x less than the LED, meaning you’d need to buy 20 odd halogens just to last as long as an LED.

Coupled with the savings on your bills every month for ten years, and it’s clear that LEDs far outstrip the performance of incandescent bulbs.

Some Technical Information

The bulbs measure 105mm in height, and 60mm in diameter. Designed by Mirrorstone, this bulb has a beam angle of 360˚, thanks to the OMNI-LED technology. They come with an extensive warranty, which can be extended to five years! They also come with a 14-day cancellation period, so if you’ve chosen the wrong bulb, you’re covered.

Colour Temperature

If you’re still stuck with the incandescent technology, you may not know what colour temperature is. With an LED, they can come in different white lights, to create stunning effects. For example, this bulb comes in a warm 3000k light, and a cool 6000k light. These can be used separately for different moods, or together to create an alternative ambience.

The warmer white is often used in a bedroom or living room setting in order to create an intimate ambience. The cooler white often looks better in a bathroom or office setting, as it is more clinical, and helps you to focus.

They can also be combined – in a kitchen, you could try a warm white main light to set the mood, along with cooler white under-cabinet lights to better illuminate your cooking.
