New building regulations state that insulation must be laid unbroken, with no gaps. The Fire Rated IC Cap allows for installations to meet this requirement, reducing energy costs and ensuring a simplified installation process.
In addition to ensuring the installation complies with Part L1 A/B legislation, the IC cap also removes the cold bridging effect of conventional downlights, which prevents heat transfer into your ceiling. It also ensures that downlights can be ‘final fixed’ after insulation has been laid, which saves time and money.
Fire Safety With LEDs

LEDs are massively more efficient compared to filament bulbs, and they don’t use heat to create light. This means they operate a lot cooler compared to those bulbs, which makes them much less of a fire risk.
