The Retrofit Solution
Buying retrofit bulbs is one of the easiest ways to upgrade to LED lighting. Our entire range of E27 base products are designed to work in your existing fittings. Retrofit is just another way of saying like-for-like replacement.
As the name suggests, this means you can swap one bulb for another with minimum hassle. Simply remove your old halogen or incandescent bulb and insert your new LED bulb. Need help? Check our article on how to change a light bulb.
Things To Consider Before Ordering
When buying LED bulbs you will want to ensure you are buying the correct type and so you will have to look at their technical specifications. Check your current bulbs to see if they are E27s. If you are looking for a like-for-like replacement you will also need to compare the wattage of your current bulb with the equivalent wattage of our LED bulbs.
The equivalent wattage can be found on the product page in the specifications. Finally, the colour temperature of the bulb. Our LED Light bulbs are available in warm white and cool white. For more information about colour temperature see our colour temperature guide.
Our E27 range covers general purpose GLS, candles and golf balls in a range of wattages and dimmable options. Remember if you are buying a dimmable LED you will need to upgrade to a LED dimmer switch.

Reasons To Go LED
LED lighting offers a number of key advantages compared to older lighting technologies, most of which are well documented. For instance, they use less electricity. The main impact of this is that they cost a lot less to run, saving you money on your energy bills.
They also last a lot longer - an average LED light bulb will give you 25,000 hours, which equates to about 6-7 years. Again, you save money because you won't be changing your light bulbs as often.
Nowadays it is better to think of LEDs as an appliance, offering many years of use and contributing to the reduction of your carbon footprint. Most importantly, they are an investment. Purchasing LED lighting today will save you thousands of pounds in the long term.
