Retrofit, not retro.

Products in this range are considered to be retrofit LED Light Bulbs. Retrofit is a broad term and refers to any type of light bulb that is a like-for-like replacement.

There are obvious advantages to purchasing a product of this kind, the first being that they will replace your existing incandescent light bulbs and work in your existing fittings.

Buying an LED light bulb is, by far, the quickest and easiest way to upgrade to LED lighting and begin enjoying the myriad benefits of this great technology.

Save energy and money!

You may or may not already be familiar with the benefits of LED lighting, but there are plenty to name. The most obvious is that they save energy. To be more precise, they use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent lighting. This in turn saves money on electricity bills. It is estimated on average that an LED will pay for itself inside the first 12 months.

The other key advantage of LED Lighting is its longevity. It may be hard to believe, but LEDs are designed to last upwards of 25,000 hours, sometimes even longer. This is compared to older light bulbs which only lasts 1,000 hours. That means you will get many years of use out of your LED Lights before they need changing.

We appreciate that the cost of LED lighting is higher, but it is important to think about your purchase as an investment and to consider the money saved over time. By the time you come to replace your LED bulbs in, say, 10 years time, the bulb will have paid for itself many times over in the amount you have saved in energy and replacements.

A light bulb for everyone.

Thanks to the wide range of LED light bulbs on offer we can almost certainly guarantee you will find the bulb you're looking for. And, even if you can't, just give us a call. We are currently offering 40+ bulbs in this range with over 10 variations of fittings.

Being retrofit lamps, customers ordinarily shop for their bulbs by fitting or by base. There are a lot of different fittings available on the market and they're not interchangeable, so it is important to purchase the correct fitting by considering their key technical specifications and features. Bulbs have designated fitting codes to help you identify the correct bulb for your needs. If you are ever unsure you can use our buying guide.

Two of the most common bulb types are the E27 and B22, which are a large screw and bayonet respectively. Almost every household in Britain uses at least one of these types of bulb. Wholesale LED Lights is currently offering a great range of E27s and B22s, particularly the Omni-bulb range which have all the aesthetic characteristics of an old-fashioned light bulb, but none of the drawbacks. The bulbs are straight replacements and will last many thousands of hours.

We also offer the E14 and B15 which are the smaller versions of the E27 and B22 respectively. These fulfil more of a decorative role in your light setup and are generally found in chandeliers, wall sconces and table lamps. Particularly popular is the E14 4W OMNI candle which closely replicates the sparkly of a traditional halogen candle. The bulb uses just 3 watts of power but produces a massive 330 lumens of light. The bulb has an incorporated driver and runs direct at mains voltage, so replacement is quick and simple.

When buying an LED Light bulb it is important to look at key characteristics such as their wattage, beam angle, equivalent wattage, lumens and voltage. By taking time to get familiar with these characteristics you are more likely to find the perfect bulb.

It is also important to remember that LED bulbs are available in two colour temperatures. Colour temperature refers to the colour of the light. Our bulbs are currently available in two temperatures - warm white and cool white, also known as soft white and bright white. These temperatures are usually self explanatory, but if you need more info we recommend looking at our colour temperature guide.

The Mirrorstone Mark of Quality

The range of LED Light bulbs sold at Wholesale LED Lights is manufactured exclusively by Mirrorstone Lighting Ltd. Needless to say, all Mirrorstone LED light bulbs are produced to the highest possible standard and comply with all European regs for the manufacture of electronic items. When you buy any Mirrorstone product you can rest assured that it carries the CE and RoHS marks.

To reinforce this claim, all Mirrorstone products are also supplied with a free 5 year extendable warranty to cover against manufacturing faults and premature failure. Fortunately, the recorded failure rated on these products is incredibly low, less than 0.1%, but it is always nice to have that extra peace of mind. Our 14 day cancellation period is also designed to make sure you find the perfect LED lighting for your requirements, particularly as lighting is highly subjective.

Don't be caught out by cheap LED Light bulbs. If a price seems too good to be true, it usually is, and manufactures will cut corners in the manufacture of their bulbs to keep the cost down. What you will find is that the bulb fails well before its life expectancy and doesn't perform as expected.

Last but not least, from time to time we run massive promotions and discount codes and also offer volume discounts our clients can take advantage of.
